One of our recent web-design projects took us into an unknown territory - the storage of fine arts industry.
Taking a dip into a new industry is exciting because it provides a learning opportunity for everyone involved in the project. When we overhaul or brainstorm new websites for companies, we completely envelop ourselves in the world of the client and the customer. Capturing the soul of a company and the humans that make it thrive, and presenting a seamless experience to their clients is our goal.
In the last 20 years, sparked by a simple phone call request, Bayshore Moving and Storage expanded into the fine arts storage business. Bayshore is a family-owned company that has been one of the titans of moving and storage on the East Coast since 1920. Since they’ve been around for almost 100 years, it’s safe to say that they know what they’re doing.
They currently store pieces from international collectors in their state-of-the-art storage facility. Bayshore is an unmatched solution because they provide their clients with two times the security with their “Box in a Box” privatized vaults. They present their customers with “two of everything for the price of one–two sets of walls, two roof lines, two layers of security, two power systems and redundant processes to manage inventory.”
Bayshore came to us to create a website dedicated solely to their Fine Arts Storage business, and really give the art storage segment its own personality and brand. They wanted to provide their customers with a safe and secure site to learn about them and a place to reach out for their potential fine arts storage needs. Many people have known them as the reliable moving company for generations, but they wanted to highlight the expansion into the art storage industry. The separate site had to give off the same look and feel as the company does. It had to show that Bayshore is professional, approachable, and cutting-edge. They are extremely experienced, but they’re also family owned, and they know a thing or two about relationships and customer service.
Besides designing and developing this new site, Bayshore took us up on the Photo Services that we offer. Our CEO, Matt Urban, went to their facility to take the photos for the site. He was able to get a first-hand look at what Bayshore offers and the great customer service that they provide. Take a minute and check out the site and the pictures!
